The record, kept current.
Start from the curriculum vitae you already have: a Word file, or the text of one pasted in. Keep it current from ORCID and Crossref, review every record before it is added, and publish a citable page and a Word document generated from the same entries.
Upload the Word file, or paste the text. Headings become sections and each paragraph becomes an entry, with years moved into the margin and DOIs picked out of citations. The document is read in your browser and is never uploaded.
Enter your ORCID iD. Your works are retrieved from the ORCID public registry, and each DOI is then resolved against Crossref for the author list, journal, volume, issue and pages. Both sources are open and neither requires an account.
Everything found, whether in your document or in the register, is shown with its provenance first: the heading it sat under, the ORCID put-code, the DOI, the number of contributors Crossref returned. Nothing reaches your CV until you accept it.
You get a permanent address for the living version, to put in a signature, a bio or an application, current whenever anybody opens it. The page, the Word file and the print layout are all generated from the same entries, so a copy you attach is never a stale export.
